The Man Who Saved The World

    14:00 Saturday 17th February 2018

Earlston Road Central Library, Wallasey CH45 5DX

You have probably never heard of Stanislav Petrov, but you owe him your life.

Shortly after midnight on 26th September 1983, a Soviet early warning radar detected what were thought to be incoming American nuclear missiles. Petrov’s decision not to retaliate prevented the beginning of World War III, the deaths of millions of people and quite, possibly, the end of life on Earth.

Doors open and refreshments served at 14:00. Film begins at 14:30. For more information on Wallasey CND contact Janet or Barbara (0151) 638 3967
